Too Much Bling - Not a Good Thing

We've all seen them - the web sites with numerous flashing, rotating, blinking banners and images splashed all over the home page. It's enough to drive you crazy - or at least away from the web site. When done tastefully, some movement or sparkle on a web site can create interest and add a sophisticated edge to an otherwise flat page; too much flashy dazzle does just the opposite and makes a site look cheap.

Too many distractions on a page are not only irritating to the visitor, but they also lessen a site's professional image and detract from a company's message. A web site is supposed to work for you in establishing credibility and pre-qualifying you to your potential clients. So let your site impress your clients with stunning simplicity, not barrage them with too much bling.
